Head of HR, Mercedes-Benz Hungária Kft.
I am Eszter Béres dr. 36 years old, originally qualified as a lawyer. However, I realized after 8 years of hard study that this is not how I envisage my life, so I set about changing everything and qualified as an HR manager. Change is fundamental to me also changing my country.
To see ourselves more clearly we need to move to a new environment, in my case a new country. I used to live a long period in Bavaria. There I discovered what my real vocation is, to work in HR I got the taste of independence and working as a self-employed person with own business I was well out of my comfort one!
This was a very brave step forward for me. After 5 years in Germany, I entered the corporate world in Lidl, Hungary first working as Employer Branding Specialist. (They are still using my work today in the stores!)
At the age of 30, I became Head of Recruitment and Employer Branding. It was really a case of learning on the job, but I was fortunate to have an excellent mentor to help me put my foot in the door (he was the former HR Director). Looking back this was a huge learning curve with lot of up and downs.
Today I am very proud to work for Mercedes- Benz because it represents a worldwide luxury brand. As HR Lead, I am responsible for every area of HR from on boarding, training, OD, payroll to benchmarking. I definitely like the German company culture (structure, punctuality and decision-making).
Having experienced the great value of a coach, I also became a qualified coach from Corvinus University (finished last year).
My credo is to be open for new things and this is where I am at today, but looking forward to the challenges to come!
I see this association as a great forum to meet and support similar minded people. I can really identify with the goal of this association. I would love to be a member of this association and to be supported by them.
