INVITATION

to an online event organized by Equaliser Foundation and the Embassy of Finland in Budapest on the topic of
Family and Career: Women in Leadership
Perspectives from Hungary and the Nordics

You may think gender diversity at work is not an issue. Yet data shows that the number of female leaders in politics, economics or scientific areas – just to name a few – are significantly lower in Hungary compared to the EU average. Due to tradition, unconscious bias, stereotypical expectations and even discrimination, women still struggle in advancing their career. Despite it is proven that gender diversity in management results in more business success, improved efficiency, more innovation, more customer satisfaction and employee loyalty.

The quality of leadership does not depend on gender. It depends on education, experience and character – it is a human capability. At this event of the Family and Career series we will be talking about the benefits of female participation in leadership and how family life and career can be balanced. Because for a fulfilling life, most of us need meaningful work and a loving family equally.
