AI is not neutral.
Ethical AI depends on human decisions.

AI is already making decisions today. It selects. It ranks. It excludes. It gives opportunities – or takes them away.

Many think that algorithms are objective. However, AI learns from human data, follows human patterns, and passes on human mistakes.

The Ethical AI campaign of the Egyenlítő Foundation does not promote the fear of technology. Instead, it asks: who is in control, and whom does the system serve?

What is the campaign about?

The goal of the Ethical AI campaign is to present, in clear, non-technical language, that the use of artificial intelligence is an ethical, social, and human issue – not merely a technological one.

We are looking for answers to these questions:

  • How can fairness be ensured when a decision is supported by an algorithm?
  • Who takes responsibility for the effects of an automated system?
  • Whom does AI serve – and who is left out?
  • How does all this affect us, our children, and the world of work?

These are not technical questions. They are about us.

If we are not careful, A:

  • Automates bad decisions
  • Unnoticeably reproduces existing inequalities
  • Excludes those with less available data
  • Blurs responsibility by hiding behind the “algorithm”

If used consciously, AI:

  • Can be a tool for social well-being
  • Can support fairer decisions
  • Can strengthen human dignity
  • Can become a true creator of opportunities

Ethical AI Team

Project Manager, Ethical AI Group

I am an internationally qualified artificial intelligence governance expert.

I have been working in the IT sector for over 20 years in local and international management and executive roles. In 2021, I reached 7th place on the IT Business magazine’s Top25 ICT Managers list – the highest for a female executive at the time.

My career has been defined by change and new beginnings. My current focus is AI governance, compliance, risk management, and ethical AI applications – consulting and creating frameworks regardless of company size. Because as a leader, I am not only interested in this; I also feel it is my responsibility to pass on how we can apply artificial intelligence professionally, consciously, transparently, and aligned with human values.

My goal is to build a bridge between business, technology, and governance. I believe that the future of AI is primarily a human and ethical issue. That is why I took on the leadership of the Ethical AI working group of the Egyenlítő Foundation.

Amazon #1 BestsellerAuthor & Expert in Motivation, VIP Coaching Center

Throughout my professional journey as a leader, then as a coach, and as the author of the book “The Inner Fire Made Visible” (A láthatóvá tett belső tűz), I have become deeply committed to the development of people through motivation. I know exactly the heavy responsibility that comes with unlocking others’ potential and creating a fair, ethical professional environment for it. This leadership attitude also defines my relationship with technological development.

In my daily practice, I use several AI tools in parallel. My own experience shows that models trained on different datasets provide support in radically different ways. I see the greatest risk in the fact that these algorithms have the ability not only to maintain but also to amplify past ethical mistakes and exclusionary trends. As a leader responsible for people’s development, I cannot just stand by and watch as technology chains our future to the obsolete and often unfair patterns of the past. That is why I consider it critical to speak immediately and openly about the unavoidable rules of Ethical AI.

Global Lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Specialist – GRUNDFOS

As a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion expert, my work is located at the intersection of people and systems. In my current position, I work in over 60 countries on the implementation of DE&I guidelines, metrics, and organizational systems. I was a member of the Microsoft Inclusive Product Advisory Council, and before that, I worked in Malaysia, New Zealand, and Australia. Throughout my career, I have focused on how organizational decisions, data, and governance mechanisms affect everyday human experiences.

Ethical AI is particularly important to me, as without appropriate awareness, technology can easily reproduce and amplify existing inequalities. Therefore, my goal is to contribute to the development of AI systems that are fair, equally accessible, and accountable through a strong, human-centric approach.

Founder & Managing Director, Egyenlítő Foundation

A key expert in the domestic technology sector, she has been following the dawn and development of artificial intelligence since 2010 within Google. As the former Managing Director of Google Hungary, she oversaw the market introduction of the most modern algorithms and their impact on business processes firsthand for eight years. Thanks to her international experience, she has a profound insight into the technological background of AI, as well as its transformative power on innovation and labor market dynamics. As the founder of the Egyenlítő Foundation, she is now one of the most important advocates for ethical AI and digital equal opportunity, paying special attention to the elimination of prejudices encoded in algorithms. As an expert and strategic consultant, she helps organizations turn artificial intelligence to their competitive advantage responsibly, keeping human values and diversity in mind.

CO-Founder & CEO – Skool

Szilvia Koleszár is the co-founder and leader of Skool, working for more than 10 years to ensure that technology – especially artificial intelligence today – is not an abstract concept, but a real, practical tool in the hands of young people and educators.

During her work, she connects the development of digital skills with the latest technological trends: from the basics of programming and algorithmic thinking to the conscious use of AI tools. Her primary focus is to ensure that educators are not just users, but knowledgeable and critical appliers of technologies such as generative AI, automation tools, or data-driven solutions.

Szilvi believes that in the future of education, technology does not replace the teacher, but amplifies their impact – if used with the right knowledge and approach.

Marketing and Communications Director, KPMG Hungary

Gabriella Liptay, economist and sociologist, has been the Marketing and Communications Director of the KPMG group in Hungary since 2017, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Egyenlítő Foundation, curator of Skool and NIOK, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Hungarian Public Relations Association, mentor of HBLF, the Association of Managers, and the Egyenlítő Foundation, as well as an initiator and shaper of several cultural and creative industry projects.

Her areas of expertise include brand building, strategy development, the development and shaping of related business processes and organizations, and bringing actors from the culture and business sectors to a common platform. Prior to KPMG, she worked in leadership positions primarily in the fields of telecommunications, creative industries, tourism, and culture. She has taken an active role in the following cultural projects and initiatives: Highlights of Hungary, Ludwig Museum, Hungarian State Opera, Art Market Budapest, Ferenczy Museum Center, Csokonai National Theatre, Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture, Kollab, and the Independent Media Education Center.

Artificial Intelligence Expert

She has been working in the field of data-driven healthcare innovation for nearly two decades. Her work centers on how to make artificial intelligence interpretable, reliable, and useful in clinical decision-making.

She takes on a prominent role in education and awareness building: she is one of the program developers and lecturers of the Data Science in Health MSc program at the Health Services Management Training Centre of Semmelweis University, and a lead trainer for the “AI in Diagnostics” and “AI in Business” courses at the KÜRT Academy. The goal of her teaching activities is to integrate the responsible, human-centric, and ethical application of artificial intelligence into the healthcare professional culture.

As a co-founder of Theia Labs, she develops an AI-based ophthalmology diagnostic system that supports the early detection of lesions causing vision loss. According to her professional philosophy, technology truly serves health when it strengthens human knowledge and decisions.

Financial Data Analyst – MSCI

I work as a Financial Data Analyst at MSCI, where the worlds of data and artificial intelligence increasingly intersect. Already at the university, we received a broader picture of artificial intelligence – from machine learning to neural networks. In my everyday life, I mainly use generative AI tools, both at work and in my personal life, but this foundation helps me treat them critically as an aid rather than as a final answer. Moreover, I am actively working on how to integrate generative AI tools into everyday work – so that the team can work faster and more efficiently.

At my workplace, I am an active member of the Women in Technology community, where we work together on various initiatives – including making STEM fields more attractive for young girls and women. I am convinced that the future of AI must be shaped by people with as many different perspectives as possible.

That is why I consider it important to talk about these tools openly and honestly. Different models are suited for different tasks – it is not enough to know this, we must also say it. This message is not only for the younger generation, but for everyone who lives and works with these tools.

Sustainability Project Director – Planet Fanatics’ Network Kft.

In my work with the Planet Fanatics’ Network team, I manage projects that treat sustainability not merely as a consideration, but as a core value. I am convinced that an organization can create long-term value when its decisions place at least as much weight on the impact on people and the planet as on economic performance.

For years, I have been following the rise of artificial intelligence – not just from a technological perspective. I examine how AI affects social inequalities and environmental strain.

I am convinced that the dialogue on the responsible use of technology cannot remain within a narrow circle of professionals – it affects everyone who lives, works, and makes decisions.

My motto: „An ethical value system is not a restriction. It is a compass.”
